| DC Ramban reviews Fuel, LPG stock position | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Apr 3: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting to review the stock and supply position of LPG and petroleum products in the district. ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; Assistant Director FCS&CA Niamatullah Sheikh, other FCS officials and representatives from Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation attended the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the available stock of petroleum products, operational status of petrol pumps, availability of LPG cylinders and the overall supply chain mechanism to ensure uninterrupted availability of fuel to consumers across the district. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Director FCS&CA and TSOs to closely monitor the sale and stock position of LPG, besides carrying out inspections of LPG sale counters. The Assistant Director FCS&CA informed the meeting that the district has adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG with the delivery of supplies without any disruption. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized close coordination between enforcement authorities and oil companies to ensure timely replenishment and smooth distribution of supplies. He directed the AD FCS&CA and other officers to keep a close check on hoarding, black-marketing and overcharging of petroleum products and LPG cylinders. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of e-KYC of LPG connections and directed representatives of LPG companies to complete the remaining targets at the earliest. Officials of the FCS&CA Department were instructed to extend full support to LPG dealers in reaching out to left-out connection holders. Warning against black-marketing, illegal hoarding and overcharging, the Deputy Commissioner said any attempt to create artificial scarcity shall be viewed seriously. |
