Early Times Report RAJOURI, Apr 13: The Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri successfully organized a series of Student Interaction Sessions on Well-Being and Anti-Substance Awareness across four venues on campus as part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan. The initiative aimed to promote mental health, emotional resilience, and awareness against substance abuse among students. The sessions witnessed active participation from around 300 students, reflecting the growing awareness and concern among youth regarding well-being and the need for a substance-free lifestyle. In his message, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of BGSBU Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, lauded the initiative and appreciated the active participation of students and faculty. He emphasized that universities play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens and reiterated the institution's commitment to fostering a healthy, drug-free campus environment. He further urged students to act as ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan and spread awareness in society. The Registrar of the University, Mr. Abhishek Sharma (IAS), who is actively leading the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan at BGSBU, highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in combating substance abuse. He stressed that sustained awareness, student engagement, and community outreach are key to achieving the vision of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. |
