Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Vivek Bali, State President , Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), has strongly demanded an immediate increase in the monthly relief assistance provided to the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community, citing the growing financial hardships faced by displaced families. In a statement issued today, Vivek Bali expressed deep concern over the economic challenges confronting the Kashmiri Pandit community, many of whom continue to live in exile and depend heavily on government relief for their survival. He emphasized that the current relief amount is insufficient to meet the rising cost of living, including expenses related to food, healthcare, education, and housing. "Despite the passage of several years, the pain and struggles of displaced Kashmiri Pandit families remain unaddressed. The existing financial assistance is no longer adequate in today's economic scenario," said Vivek Bali. He urged the government to take immediate and compassionate action by revising and increasing the monthly relief package to ensure a dignified and sustainable livelihood for the affected families. He further stressed that the government must prioritize the welfare of the KP community and address their long-pending demands with seriousness and urgency. Vivek Bali also called for a comprehensive review of all relief and rehabilitation policies concerning the Kashmiri Pandits, including better employment opportunities for youth, improved living conditions in migrant camps, and expedited measures for safe and dignified return to the Valley. |
