DODA, Apr 16: In a proactive effort to curb illegal mining and unauthorized transportation of minor minerals, Doda Police successfully intercepted a tipper bearing registration number JK06B-7455 during routine naka checking at Zero Point Phagsoo. The vehicle was being driven by Idrees Wani, son of Mohd Ramzan, a resident of Nandana, Tehsil Phagsoo.
During the inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was loaded with minor mineral material (sand) without possessing any valid GR/Form A, as mandated under law for the transportation of such materials.
Taking cognizance of the violation, the vehicle was seized on the spot. The matter has been duly reported to the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Doda for further legal action under relevant provisions. |
