Swift medical help provided to Lassana Road Accident victim

POONCH, May 2: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan ensured a prompt and coordinated medical response following a tragic road accident near Lassana.
As per the Health Department, immediately after receiving news of the accident, ambulance services were rushed to the spot and the injured were shifted to Government Sub-District Hospital Surankote for emergency care.
Two persons, identified as Shafiq Ahmed S/O Mohammad Rafiq and Sheraz Ahmed S/O Mohammad Bashir, both residents of Gunthal, Surankote, were brought to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, Shafiq Ahmed was declared dead by doctors on arrival.
The second injured, Sheraz Ahmed was provided immediate treatment under the PM Rahat Scheme. Considering the severity of his head injury, he was referred to Government District Hospital Poonch for CT scan and specialized treatment, where he is currently under medical care.
CMO Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan personally supervised the entire process and directed Block Medical Officer Surankote to ensure timely and effective treatment. The swift action by the health department played a crucial role in providing urgent care to the injured.
