ALC Samba celebrates Int'l Labour Day with workers Bari Brahmna

SAMBA, May 2: The Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Samba celebrated International Labour Day at EMCURE Pharmaceuticals, Bari Brahmna, with enthusiastic participation from workers and management.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Vice President Dilip Kumar Sahoo, who underscored the vital contribution of the workforce towards the growth and success of the organization.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner highlighted the provisions and significance of the Labour Codes. A dedicated interactive session was also held, during which workers actively participated and sought clarifications on various aspects of labour laws. As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, awareness was imparted on the harmful effects of drug abuse, emphasizing the importance of a healthy and productive workforce.
To mark the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was organised, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration among the workers. Top-performing workers were also felicitated in recognition of their dedication and contributions.
The ALC reiterated the pivotal role of workers in the functioning and success of any industrial establishment and urged the management to further strengthen measures aimed at worker welfare and empowerment. The programme concluded with a collective commitment towards safeguarding workers' rights and promoting a healthy, drug-free work environment.
