DODA, May 5: In a swift and well-coordinated operation, Police Station Doda has successfully solved a theft case reported at GMC Ghat by arresting the ????? and recovering the stolen property.
On receipt of a complaint, a case vide FIR No. 104/2026 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Police Station Doda. Acting promptly, a dedicated police team led by SHO Police Station Doda was constituted. The team made effective use of technical surveillance, including CCTV footage analysis, along with reliable human intelligence to identify and apprehend the accused.
The accused has been identified as Basharat Hussain S/O Faizullah R/O Amritgarh Chiralla, Doda. During sustained interrogation, he confessed to the commission of the offence and disclosed the location of the stolen property. Acting on his disclosure, police recovered 04 geysers, 06 kitchen sinks, 01 paint bucket, and other items, in accordance with due legal procedures.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
