Jammu, May 12: A basketball tournament was organized at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Boys Hostel of Central University of Jammu. The tournament was conducted under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, who has been encouraging the organization of various activities to promote enthusiasm for sports among hostel students and research scholars.
The competition was held in the presence of Hostel Warden Prof. Bharat Bhushan, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of hostel students. The tournament was played in several rounds, and ultimately, the team from the third floor of the hostel emerged victorious.
The winning team included Aman Rana (Captain), Harmanpreet Singh, Gaurav Kumar Singh, Rachit, Shubh, Pratyush Sharma, Vasu Aditya, Naved Ul Hasan, Mantavya, Sahil Singh, Baljeet Singh, and Saqib Khokhar.
The runner-up team comprised students from the first floor of the hostel. The winning team was awarded medals by Hostel Warden Prof. Bharat Bhushan.
The successful organization of the tournament was made possible with the special contribution of Joint Hostel Wardens Dr. Shashikant Mishra, Dr. Jaswinder, Dr. Parvesh Pal, as well as caretakers Pawan, Rakesh, and Updesh. |
