SRINAGAR, May 12: The Army on Tuesday honoured the supreme sacrifice of Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey, who died while on operational duty in Baramulla district.
While the Army Srinagar-based Chinar Corps did not specify the exact circumstances behind the incident, sources said the jawan died after an accidental fall during a night patrol in the Rafiabad area of the district.
In a post on X, the Chinar Corps said his courage and dedication will forever inspire them.
“Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of Braveheart Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey, while on operational duty in Baramulla district. His courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of the Braveheart. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and are committed to their well-being,” the post said. |
