RAJOURI, May 12: International Nurses Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, pride, and reverence at Nursing College Rajouri under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Bhatia, Principal Government Medical College Rajouri, and under the overall supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Jamil Ul Hussain.
The programme was organised to honour the dedication, compassion, sacrifice, and tireless contribution of nurses towards patient care and healthcare services. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation by nursing students who performed various colourful cultural programmes, inspirational skits, and meaningful presentations highlighting the noble role of nurses in serving humanity with care, empathy, and commitment. The performances were highly appreciated by the audience and added vibrancy and emotional depth to the event.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Bhatia paid rich tributes to the nursing fraternity and appreciated their unwavering commitment and humanitarian service. He stated that nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system whose dedication and compassion bring hope, comfort, and healing to patients during their most difficult times. He further emphasized the need to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and patient-centered care.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Jamil Ul Hussain delivered an inspiring address and described nursing as one of the noblest professions devoted to humanity and service. He highlighted the immense contribution of nurses in strengthening healthcare delivery and applauded the efforts of the nursing students and faculty for organising such a meaningful and inspiring programme. He encouraged the students to continue serving society with dedication, dignity, compassion, and excellence.
