| BJP OBC Morcha delegation meets J&K BJP president Sat Sharma, discusses key issues of OBC community | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 20: A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party OBC Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir, called on Sat Sharma, BJP JK-UT President and MP ( Rajyasabha) at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and discussed various issues concerning the welfare and empowerment of the OBC community in the Union Territory. Baldev Singh Billawaria (BJP State General Secretary), Arun Sharma (BJP State Secretary) were present on the occasion. The delegation was led by Braham Jyot Satti, President of BJP OBC Morcha Jammu & Kashmir. During the meeting, the members of the delegation highlighted several concerns and demands related to the socio-economic and political upliftment of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Jammu & Kashmir. Listening patiently to the issues raised by the delegation, Sat Sharma assured the members that all genuine concerns of the OBC community would be addressed on priority and resolved in a timely manner. He reiterated the BJP's commitment towards the welfare of every section of society, especially the marginalized and backward communities. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the OBC community is the backbone of the nation and has played a vital role in strengthening the social and economic fabric of India. He stated that the Central Government is committed to ensuring justice and equal opportunities for OBCs across the country. He further informed that there would be a separate and special column for the OBC community in the upcoming caste-based census, which will be conducted after the population census. He termed this move as a historic step towards ensuring proper representation and welfare planning for backward communities. Sat Sharma also stated that the OBC community would get reservation benefits in the upcoming Panchayat and other elections, ensuring greater political participation and representation at grassroots levels. Expressing gratitude to Sat Sharma for his positive and supportive approach, Braham Jyot Satti said that the OBC community has always stood for nationalism and public welfare. He added that OBC members will continue to serve humanity and contribute towards nation-building with dedication and commitment. |
