Early Times Report JAMMU, May 20: In continuation of the ongoing 100-Day Anti-Drug Campaign across Jammu & Kashmir, MDK Foundation organised a large-scale "Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan" Drug Awareness Programme and Rally at Government High School, Bathindi, Jammu, aimed at spreading awareness against drug abuse and promoting a healthy and responsible society. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, civil society members, prominent citizens, and representatives of various government departments including Police, Health, and Education. The Chief Guest, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Nominated - Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, while addressing the gathering, strongly condemned the growing menace of drug addiction and termed it a serious threat to society and the future of youth. He urged every citizen to play a vital role in making Jammu & Kashmir drug-free and emphasized that youth must lead the movement to realise the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a "Khushhaal Kashmir" and a strong, developed India. He encouraged students to focus on education, safeguard their health, and contribute actively towards nation-building. Speaking on the occasion, Mushtaq Qadri stated that MDK Foundation has been consistently working for the betterment of society through social awareness, youth engagement, and community welfare initiatives. He reaffirmed that the organisation will continue organising such awareness programmes in future to protect youth from social evils and strengthen community participation. Mushtaq Qadri expressed gratitude to the Head of Institution, staff and students of Government High School Bathindi, Madrasah Mariful Islam, and YES Public School for their cooperation and active participation. He also thanked officers of Police, Health, Education Departments, media persons, and civil society members for their valuable support. |
