Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 20: The bustling Channi area of Jammu on Wednesday witnessed a vibrant blend of style, celebration and business optimism as senior BJP legislator Vikram Randhawa inaugurated Rising Autos, the first exclusive showroom of Italian two-wheeler giant Piaggio in the region.
The showroom, a new venture of the Rising Kashmir Group, showcased the iconic Vespa scooters alongside the sporty Aprilia range, including 125cc and 175cc models that attracted enthusiastic visitors and automobile lovers throughout the day.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Randhawa described the launch as "a landmark moment" for Jammu's growing automobile and business sector. He praised Rising Autos for entrepreneurship and bringing an internationally celebrated brand to the heart of Jammu city.
"This showroom will not only generate employment opportunities for local youth but also give the people of Jammu access to world-class mobility and lifestyle products," Randhawa said.
He further remarked that the arrival of Vespa and Aprilia reflects the changing aspirations of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, who are increasingly embracing modern, stylish and efficient modes of transport.
Present on the occasion was Managing Director Rising Autoz Hafiz Ayaz Gani, who welcomed guests and appreciated the overwhelming response from the public and business and media fraternity. India Network Incharge for Piaggio, Gantanio, termed the occasion "historic" and declared that "the legend is back," referring to the iconic Vespa brand.
"Vespa is not merely a scooter; it is an emotion and a legacy admired across generations. We are delighted to partner with Rising Autoz whose professionalism and vision perfectly align with the values of Piaggio," he said. He also announced that another showroom would soon come up in Srinagar, expanding the company's footprint in Jammu and Kashmir.
Founder and Chairman of Rising Autos, Muhammad Owais Khan, expressed gratitude to guests and customers for their support.
"This is indeed a proud and memorable moment for us. We believe the roads of Jammu and Srinagar will soon wear a fresh and vibrant look with the arrival of Vespa and Aprilia scooters. Our aim is to provide customers with premium quality, stylish mobility and unmatched service experience," he said.
Among those present on the occasion were Raj Daluja Editor in Chief State Times, Munish Gupta, Editor-in-Chief Dainik State Samachar Shamsher Singh Charak, BJP spokesperson Dr Abhijeet Jasrotia, and CCIJ president Arun Gupta, besides a galaxy of intellectuals, businessmen, prominent journalists and dignitaries from various fields.
The event concluded on a celebratory note with distribution of sweets, while several enthusiastic customers made on-the-spot bookings for the newly launched scooters, marking a promising beginning for Rising Autos in Jammu.
