| Revenue Department conducts anti-encroachment drive at Miya Bagh, Dhar Road Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 25: The Revenue Department on today carried out an anti-encroachment drive in the Miya Bagh area along Dhar Road, Udhampur, to remove illegal structures raised on government land and roadside areas. The action was taken following instructions issued by Tehsildar Jai Singh after reports were received regarding fresh encroachments in the locality.
During the drive, concerned Naib Tehsildar Maroof khan , accompanied by the revenue staff and police personnel, reached the spot and supervised the operation. Several temporary structures like Khokas , and unauthorized constructions allegedly erected along the roadside were removed with the help of the department's team.
Officials stated that despite previous warnings and earlier removal drives, some individuals had again occupied portions of the roadside by raising illegal structures and extending their occupation over public land.
Police personnel remained deployed at the site to maintain law and order during the operation. The Revenue Department also warned people against illegal occupation of public land and stated that strict action would continue against violators in future as well. |
