Early Times Report NEW DELHI, May 25: Multiple Sclerosis-MS is a chronic neurological condition affecting the brain and spinal cord and it causes visible and invisible disabilities in young individuals. The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India -MSSI Delhi Chapter supports persons with Multiple Sclerosis through awareness, advocacy, and access to care with Chapters in 9 major cities of India-www, mssocietyindia.org. with a head office in Mumbai. For World MS Day 2026, MSSI Delhi is leading a month-long national campaign throughout the month of May 2026. The campaign began on 6 May with MSSI Delhi's participation in the MSIF HEART photography competition at Safdarjung Tomb. Team members in orange turbans created striking visuals blending heritage and MS awareness. On 17 May, MSSI Delhi hosted an -'Ask the Experts' webinar moderated by Hon. Chairperson Bipasha Gupta and Hon. Treasurer Meenakshi Bhujwala. Dr Kamakshi Dhamija, Senior Neurologist, MAX Vaishali and Dr Monika Singla, Neurologist & Professor, DMC Ludhiana answered over 70 questions from 112 participants on symptoms, DMTs, pregnancy, mental health, and new research. From 18-22 May 2026, MSSI Delhi contributed to CIET-NCERT's five-day online training -"Rethinking Mental Health, Multiple Sclerosis, and Accessibility" under NEP 2020. Bipasha Gupta spoke on 18 May with Dr Bharti Kaushik, CIET-NCERT and Dr Priyanka Lenka, NIMHR Sehore. Meenakshi Bhujwala addressed challenges and support systems on 20 May with Dr Kamakshi Dhamija.The free program drew 12,560 registrations and streamed on PM eVIDYA Channel 31 and NCERT YouTube. "It was an excellent program for educating teachers about MS, mental health, and accessibility to ensure early diagnosis and support," said Bipasha Gupta.
