Early Times Report DODA, June 1: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Doda Police, in collaboration with various allied departments, organized an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Awareness Campaign at Higher Secondary School Kandote to educate students and members of the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and drug-free life. During the programme, resource persons from the participating departments highlighted the social, psychological, legal, and health-related consequences of substance abuse. The speakers emphasized the need for collective efforts by educational institutions, parents, law enforcement agencies, and the community to effectively combat the menace of drug addiction. The participants were sensitized about the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and encouraged to act as ambassadors of a drug-free society by spreading awareness among their peers, families, and communities. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teaching staff, officials from allied departments, and members of the local community. Interactive sessions were also held during which participants raised queries and shared their views on preventive measures against drug abuse and addiction. Doda Police in coordination with stakeholder departments remains committed to strengthening public awareness, preventing substance abuse, and promoting a healthy, safe, and drug-free society through sustained outreach programmes and community engagement initiatives. |
