Early Times Report DODA, June 8: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Doda Police achieved another significant success by arresting a lady drug peddler and recovering approximately 32 grams of heroin (Chitta)-like substance from her possession. Acting on reliable information regarding the illegal sale of narcotic substances, a police team of Police Station Doda, led by SHO PS Doda under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda, conducted a swift operation at Sadeeqaabad, Doda. During the operation, lady Gulshan Begum, wife of Yasar Ahmad and resident of Sadeeqaabad, Doda, was apprehended. Upon search, approximately 32 grams of heroin (Chitta)-like substance was recovered from her possession. The accused was subsequently arrested and booked under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. Accordingly, FIR No. 150/2026 under Sections 08/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Doda. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any forward and backward linkages connected with the narcotics network. Doda Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and appeals to the public to actively cooperate in the fight against the drug menace by sharing information related to narcotics and substance abuse.
