MLA Arvind Gupta inaugurates Rs 60 lakh lane & drain project in Ward No. 39

JAMMU, June 8: Reaffirming his commitment towards strengthening civic infrastructure and improving public amenities across Jammu West, MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the construction work of lanes and drains in Ward No. 39. The project, being undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh, aims to improve sanitation, strengthen drainage facilities and provide better connectivity for the residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said that the project would address long-pending civic issues, including damaged lanes, inadequate drainage systems and waterlogging during the rainy season. He emphasized that the development of basic infrastructure remains a top priority and assured that every ward of Jammu West would continue to receive focused attention under the ongoing development initiatives.
The MLA stated that several lane and drain projects have already been completed or are underway across Jammu West to enhance civic amenities and improve the quality of life of the people. He reiterated that strengthening grassroots infrastructure is essential for ensuring sustainable urban development and better living standards.
Arvind Gupta directed the concerned officials and executing agency to maintain high-quality construction standards and ensure the timely completion of the project. He stressed that public funds must be utilized efficiently for maximum public benefit. Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to the MLA for taking up the much-needed development work. They stated that the project would provide significant relief from drainage-related problems and improve overall civic conditions in the locality.
Among those present on the occasion were BJP State Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, Senior leader Atul Bakshi, party leaders, officials from the concerned departments, local representatives and a large number of residents.
The gathering appreciated the continuous efforts being made by MLA Arvind Gupta towards the development of Jammu West and expressed confidence that such initiatives would further accelerate the pace of progress in the constituency.
