| JKEDI concludes Batch-04 of ESDP at Women ITI, Jammu, trains 32 aspiring women entrepreneurs | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 12: Thirty-two aspiring and potential women entrepreneurs successfully completed Batch-04 of the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme in collaboration with Women ITI Jammu. The programme was aimed at fostering entrepreneurial competencies among women by providing them with comprehensive exposure to various aspects of enterprise creation and management. During the training, participants were sensitized on business opportunity identification, preparation of business plans, financial management, marketing strategies, digital tools, and the support ecosystem available for emerging entrepreneurs. As part of the programme, the participants also undertook a one-day industrial visit to gain practical exposure to enterprise operations and business management practices. In addition, individual and group market surveys were conducted to enable the trainees to assess market demand, understand consumer behaviour, identify business opportunities, and develop a realistic understanding of local market dynamics. The valedictory session was attended by Er. Rajesh Gupta, Superintendent, Women ITI Jammu; Rajesh Kotwal, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Jammu; Sh. Abhilash Kumar Braroo, Associate Project Manager, JKEDI; and faculty members of Women ITI Jammu. Addressing the participants, Er. Rajesh Gupta congratulated the trainees on successfully completing the programme and emphasized the growing role of women in driving economic development through entrepreneurship. He encouraged the participants to leverage the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to establish sustainable enterprises and contribute to socio-economic growth. Rajesh Kotwal highlighted JKEDI's continued efforts towards promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among women. He underscored the importance of innovation, determination, and informed decision-making in building successful business ventures and urged the participants to take advantage of the various institutional support mechanisms available for entrepreneurs. Abhilash Kumar Braroo apprised the participants about the post-training support and facilitation available through JKEDI and encouraged them to transform their entrepreneurial aspirations into viable business enterprises. |
