Ramgarh, June 15: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an Online Future roadmap & sustainability planning workshop on 15th June 2026 under the Three-Month Awareness Programme of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among youth about substance abuse prevention while encouraging sustainable personal and community development. The programme was organized under the esteemed guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Meeru Abrol, and under the aegis of the NSS Unit and NCORD Committee, which continuously strive to sensitize students about important many issues regarding social and environment. Addressing the participants, The Principal of the college Dr. Meeru Abrol emphasized the need for integrating sustainability into academic, administrative, and community outreach activities. Participants actively engaged in discussions and shared ideas for making the campus greener and more sustainable. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers from college. Resource persons named Dr. Shivali Panjgotra HOD department of Environment Science and Dr. Anjana Raina highlighted the importance of adopting a drug-free lifestyle and emphasized the role of young people in building a healthy, productive, and sustainable society. During the session, experts discussed future planning strategies, leadership development, career growth, and sustainable community engagement. Students were encouraged to become ambassadors of positive change and actively contribute to the vision of a drug-free India. The event witnessed enthusiastic online participation from students who expressed their thoughts and concerns regarding substance abuse. Student of semester 3rd Vansh Bagal also expressed his views regarding these issues. Interactive discussions focused on the harmful effects of substance abuse, mental well-being, responsible decision-making, and the significance of long-term sustainability planning. Participants also shared their views on creating awareness campaigns and promoting healthy lifestyles within their institutions and communities. The Nodal Officer Dr. Snobar stated that the workshop aligns with the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, a nationwide initiative aimed at preventing substance abuse through awareness, education, and community participation. Educational institutions across India continue to play a key role in promoting the campaign’s message among youth. The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to support the mission of a drug-free and healthy India and to actively spread awareness among their peers and society. |
