Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 17: The inaugural day of Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah today drew participation from citizens across several blocks of Udhampur district, marking the start of a week-long campaign against drug abuse. Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, a mass pledge ceremony was held wherein participants pledged to stay away from drugs and contribute towards a drug-free society. Yoga sessions were organised at multiple locations to promote physical and mental well-being. Awareness programmes and interactive sessions educated citizens about the harmful effects of drug addiction, available rehabilitation services and the importance of early intervention. Citizens, youth groups, educational institutions, government departments and civil society organisations participated in the inaugural day activities. The District Administration appealed to all stakeholders to actively participate in the remaining activities of Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah. |
