JAMMU, June 17: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurial awareness, practical exposure, and hands-on learning among youth, the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) successfully concluded its Summer Internship Programme at its Regional Office, Bari Brahmana, and District Centres in Jammu and Udhampur.
The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Mohammad Younis Malik (JKAS), Director, JKEDI, and Shri Chand Kishore Sharma (JKAS), Joint Director, JKEDI, under the aegis of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Research (CEER), JKEDI. The initiative was conceptualized in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which lays strong emphasis on skill development, innovation, experiential learning, and industry-oriented academic exposure.
The 10-day, 60-hour internship programme was designed to provide undergraduate students with practical insights into entrepreneurship, startup promotion, innovation, business planning, and institutional support systems available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
A total of 229 students from various colleges across Jammu Division successfully completed the programme through eight batches.
