Jammu Police Arrests Kingpins of Narco-Terrorism in Amritsar, seize AK Rifle, Pistols, Live Rounds, 1.5 kgs Heroin

AMRITSAR, June 17: In a major breakthrough targeting organized crime and narcotics terrorism syndicates, Jammu police have successfully arrested three persons Surajdeep Singh @Suraj R/ Jandiala and Harpreet Singh @ Raju and Jaspreet in Amritsar under FIR 51/26 of PS Miran Sahib, FIR 58/26 of PS Bishnah and FIR 137/26 of PS Nagrotta and FIR 48/26 of PS Gangyal. The three were responsible for supplying nearly 80 percent of narcotic substances to Jammu district. The arrests follow a high-level operation following a meticulous search operation . The accused were Backward Links of Lau Gujjar and his network operating in J&K which had numerous FIRs pending against them. Arrests in his Backward link had led to arrest and questioning of Lateef, Bachu, Majeeda and Mushtaq, who had revealed Suraj and Raju to be his backward links. It is pertinent to mention that all the three accused form part of backward links in various NDPS cases registered across Jammu. The three accused would supply narcotics to nearly 20 forward links in Jammu and adjoining districts of Samba and Kathua. The strategic raid resulted in the seizure of weaponry, commercial-grade narcotics, dynamic logistics equipment, and premium luxury vehicles used to facilitate illicit operations. During the search of the premises, Police Teams comprising ESU Jammu Team, SHO Miran Sahib and PSIs from Bishnah, Miran Sahib and Punjab Police recovered the following items and took them into police possession:
Arms and Ammunition:
* One AK-47 rifle and forty (40) live AK-47 rounds. * One Star pistol and twenty-nine (29) live pistol cartridges. * Four (04) live 12 Bore cartridges. Narcotics and Distribution Equipment: * Approximately 1.020 Kg of narcotic substances. * One electronic weighing machine, packing packets/pouches, and one roll of packing tape.
