KISHTWAR, June 19: In a major crackdown on anti-national elements, Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested key accused involved in providing support to Local terrorists in Dachan, Kishtwar, in connection with FIR No. 167/2025 registered at Police Station kishtwar under Sections 109 of BNS, Sections 13, 16, 18, 19, 20, and 23 of UAPA, and Sections 7/27 of the Arms Act.
SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Naresh Singh-JKPS, while sharing details of the case, stated that after meticulous investigation, police arrested Tariq Ahmed Ginoo, S/o Late Mohd Shaban, a government employee in the Forest Department, and Mohd Iqbal, S/o Ghulam Abbas Wani, both residents of Tander, Dachan, Kishtwar, for their alleged involvement in facilitating terrorists.
Earlier, Muneer Ahmed and Mashkoor Ahmed, both residents of Chatroo, were also arrested for similar offences. The investigation is ongoing to dismantle the entire network and all those involved will be brought to justice through due legal process. J&K Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and their support network.
