Early Times Report JAMMU, June 19: A high-powered delegation of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKUT), under the patronage of its Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria today called on Sat Pal Sharma (CA), BJP State President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Jugal Kishore MP Lok Sabha at Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The meeting was held in the presence of Baldev Singh Billawaria, Former Deputy Mayor and General Secretary, BJP Jammu & Kashmir and M.J Sharma. During the meeting, the delegation submitted memorandum to both the MP's highlighting the concerns of in-service Teachers and Masters regarding the mandatory requirement of the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET). The Forum urged the Members of Parliament to strongly raise the issue on the floor of the House and advocate for a just and practical resolution in the interest of thousands of serving teachers. The delegation apprised the Hon'ble MP of the difficulties being faced by experienced in-service teachers due to the proposed mandatory TET requirement. After patiently hearing the concerns and demands of the Forum, both the leaders assured the delegation that they would take up the matter at the appropriate level and make sincere efforts for its redressal. The delegation comprised of Jb J.A Agah, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, P.D Singh, Pawan Sharma, Gopal Singh,S. Ravinder Singh, S. Gurdev Singh and Narinder Chib. The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum expressed gratitude to the Members of Parliament for giving a patient hearing to the delegation and for assuring their support in pursuing the matter with the concerned authorities and also in the Parliament. |
