Rise in J&K 2026 concludes on high note; departments felicitated for outstanding participation

SRINAGAR, June 19: The three-day national event "Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026 - Building the Path Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047" concluded successfully today at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, after witnessing an overwhelming response from government departments, public sector undertakings, educational institutions, industry representatives, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and the general public. The event served as a dynamic platform to showcase the transformative developmental initiatives being undertaken across Jammu & Kashmir and highlighted the region's growing role in India's journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. On the valedictory day, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), felicitated participating departments, organizations, and institutions in recognition of their valuable contribution towards making the event a grand success. Addressing the gathering, Shri Khatana appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders in presenting innovative projects, citizen-centric schemes, technological advancements, and developmental achievements before the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that such platforms help bridge the gap between government initiatives and the public, while also inspiring youth to actively participate in nation-building and innovation-driven growth.
A special award ceremony was also organized to recognize the best exhibition stalls based on innovation, public engagement, presentation, and overall impact.
The winners were announced as follows:
1st Prize: Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)
2nd Prize: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
3rd Prize: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)
The award-winning organizations were commended for their exceptional exhibits and their efforts in effectively communicating their contributions towards scientific advancement, quality standards, agricultural innovation, and national development.
The exhibition features participation from several renowned organizations including NHPC, BIS, ICMR, ISRO, CSIR, ICAR, APEDA, Indian Railway, IRCTC, SPCB,Survey of India, POWERGRID, HURL, NFL, NBCC, REC, NTPC, TRIFED, National Jute Board, NAFED, Department of Atomic Energy , Tea Board, JAKEDA , DC Handloom , TRIFED and other leading institutions committed to India's development journey.
Throughout the three-day event, thousands of students, researchers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and citizens visited the exhibition, interacted with experts, and gained insights into various government schemes, technological innovations, employment opportunities, skill development initiatives, and research achievements.
