Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 22: As part of its Civic Action Programme, the 137 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Human Resource Programme at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chenani, and Government Higher Secondary School, Chenani, in Udhampur district on Sunday. The programme was attended by Commandant Manoj Kumar, Second-in-Command Raju Lal Meena, Assistant Commandant Ashish Kumar, Tehsildar Chenani Pankaj Singh, SDPO Chenani Sukhveer Singh, Principals Rajni Oberai and Rashi Gupta, lecturer Ghara Ram, lecturer Saroj Jimbal, PEM Amit Sharma, school staff, students, media personnel, local residents, and CRPF jawans. During the event, CRPF distributed educational and sports-related items among students and participants, including 100 T-shirts, 100 shorts, 100 pairs of shoes, 100 notebooks, 100 pens, 100 pencils, 100 sharpeners, and 100 erasers. Speaking on the occasion, CRPF officials highlighted the force's commitment to youth welfare and community development through various civic action initiatives. They stated that such programmes help strengthen relations between security forces and local communities while supporting the educational needs of students. Local residents and media personnel appreciated the efforts of 137 Battalion CRPF and urged the force to continue organising similar welfare activities in the future. Officials noted that the battalion has successfully conducted several community outreach programmes in the region during recent years. |
