RAMBAN, June 22: As part of its ongoing drive to ensure proper verification of tenants and to strengthen security measures, Ramban Police has registered separate cases against landlords for failing to furnish particulars of tenants residing in their rented accommodations, in violation of the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Ramban. At Police Station Chanderkote, acting on reliable information, it was found during verification that (1) Sansar Singh S/O Ravail Singh R/O Near J.P Gate Chanderkote and (2) Hemma Kotwal W/O Lt. Ram Kumar R/O Kunfer Chanderkote had rented accommodation to outsiders without intimating/informing police station Chanderkote. During verification, it surfaced that the landlords had neither informed Police Station Chanderkote about the arrival of the tenants nor submitted their particulars for verification as required under the District Magistrate's notification. |
