| Special narcotics drive conducted by PS Miran Sahib under Nasha Mukt Bharat JK Abhiyan | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 22: As part of the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Abhiyan" and in furtherance of the commitment of Jammu Police towards eradication of drug menace from society, a police party of Police Station Miran Sahib conducted a special drive against wild cannabis cultivation in the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib.
During the drive, police personnel identified and destroyed a substantial quantity of wild cannabis (bhang) plants growing in the Indira Nagar area falling within the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib. The cannabis plants were uprooted and destroyed on the spot to prevent their misuse for preparation and trafficking of narcotic substances.
The action was carried out as part of the sustained efforts of Jammu Police to eliminate the source of narcotic substances and to create awareness among the public regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Police have appealed to the general public to actively support the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan by reporting any information regarding cultivation, trafficking, sale, or abuse of narcotic substances to the nearest police station. The identity of informants shall be kept confidential.
