| Drug Awareness campaign held by PS Jhajjar Kotli Nasha Mukt Abhiyan | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 22: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Jammu Rural Police organized anti-drug awareness programmes at different locations to educate the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society. At Naresh Chowk, Suketar, Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, in collaboration with respected civil society members, organized a joint Shabeel Programme during which refreshments were distributed among the public. An awareness lecture was delivered highlighting the ill effects of drug addiction and the collective responsibility of society in combating the menace. Around 35-40 local residents participated in the programme and expressed their support for the campaign. Similarly, Police Post Chowki Choura conducted a Drug Awareness Programme wherein local residents were sensitized about the social, health and economic consequences of drug abuse. The participants were encouraged to actively support the mission of building a drug-free society and to spread awareness among their families and communities. Jammu Rural Police remains committed to strengthening public participation in the fight against drug abuse and urges citizens to join hands in making society free from the menace of narcotics. |
