Explaining the divine nature of Vedic knowledge, Swami Ji said that Vedic wisdom originates from God and can be attained only through sincere effort, spiritual discipline, austerity, and the observance of righteous conduct such as Brahmacharya (celibacy and self-restraint). He stated that those who follow the Vedic path with dedication and purity become eligible to receive this sacred and truthful knowledge. Swami Ram Swarup Ji emphasized that true Vedic wisdom is firmly established in the heart through unwavering faith in God. He noted that the Vedas are honored and glorified through the performance of Yajna, which serves as a medium for preserving and spreading divine knowledge. Neglecting Yajna and failing to respect the sacred teachings of the Vedas, he said, leads individuals away from righteousness and makes them participants in sinful actions. He further explained that the entire world is the abode of Vedic wisdom and that all men and women should respect, honor, and follow the path shown by the Vedas. The four Vedas, he said, provide the means to attain divine knowledge, while God Himself is the source and master of this eternal wisdom. Respecting and practicing Vedic teachings is essential for attaining happiness, peace, and prosperity in life. Referring to the 12th mantra of the Kanda, Swami Ji stated that when Vedic teachings are suppressed or obstructed by critics and opponents of the Vedas, the consequences become harmful for society. Such suppression, he explained, gives rise to fear, hostility, violence, and destructive tendencies. Elaborating on the message of the mantra, he said that Vedic knowledge is a source of peace, harmony, and universal well-being. When its spread is hindered, unrighteousness increases and major disturbances emerge in society. Swami Ji observed that the decline in the study and practice of Vedic teachings has contributed to the erosion of peace and harmony, not only in India but across the world, leading to growing social unrest and suffering among people. The discourse concluded with an appeal to all seekers to study the Vedas, perform Yajna, and adopt a life based on truth, discipline, and devotion to God for the welfare of humanity and lasting peace in society. |
