Police continues crackdown on drug trafficking; three accused arrested

RAJOURI, June 29: Continuing its sustained and intensified campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Rajouri Police achieved success by apprehending three persons in two separate operations and recovering heroin-like substance along with psychotropic drugs from their possession.
Police Party from Police Post City while conducting routine patrolling near Bhella Bridge apprehended a pedestrian identified as:
Rashid Khan S/o Arshad Hussain R/o Kakora Tehsil Manjakote presently residing at Bhella Rajouri.
During his personal search 5.27 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession.In this regard a Case FIR No. 340/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the forward and backward linkages of the drug network.
Police Party of Police Station Rajouri during routine patrolling near Atti Bridge apprehended two persons identified as:
Mohd Shoaib S/o Mohd Touseef R/o Fatehpur Rajouri from whose possession 01 Tramadol injection, 10 Tapentadol tablets and 10 Pregabalin tablets were recovered.
Mohd Khan S/o Mohd Bashir R/o Fatehpur Rajouri from whose possession 01 Tramadol injection and 20 Tapentadol tablets were recovered.
In this connection a Case FIR No. 341/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation is in progress.Rajouri Police is thoroughly investigating both cases to identify the source of supply, uncover the entire chain of drug trafficking and take stringent legal action against all those involved.
Reiterating its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics Rajouri Police remains committed to eradicating the drug menace and protecting the youth from the harmful effects of substance abuse.
