JAMMU, June 29: Today, the gathering of the Padotra community was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bari Brahmana. In the morning, following the ritual bathing of the deities, Havan and worship ceremonies dedicated to Lord Ganesha and the Navagrahas (nine celestial bodies) were performed, accompanied by prayers for the peace and well-being of the entire Padotra-Lamme community.
After honoring the priests and Kanjaks (young girls worshipped as manifestations of the Goddess), family members partook in the Bhandara (community feast). Approximately 1,500 people participated in the event. Finally, a meeting of the Trust and the Working Committee was held under the chairmanship of Rajkumar Gupta, during which the roadmap for the next six months was finalized. Bansi Lal Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Satish Gupta, Raman Gupta, Ankur Gupta, Anil Gupta, and other members of the Working Committee participated prominently. |
