| Rajouri police booked notorious drug peddler under PIT NDPS Act | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 3: The detained drug peddler has been identified as: -Sheraz Ahmed S/O Mohd Azam R/O Thanamang Tehsil Darhal District Rajouri. He has been found involved in multiple cases registered under the NDPS Act at Police Stations Darhal and Thanamandi. Being a habitual offender, he posed a serious threat to public health and safety particularly by luring youth into drug abuse.
Considering his persistent involvement in drug trafficking and to prevent him from continuing such illegal activities, a detention order under the PIT NDPS Act was issued by the Competent Authority. Acting on the order Team of Police Station Darhal detained the accused and lodged him in Jail.
Rajouri Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and will continue to take stringent legal action against those involved in the narcotics trade to ensure a drug-free and safe society. |
