| NCC cadets felicitated for outstanding participation in National Camps | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 4: The NCC Unit of Government College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu proudly celebrated the achievements of its cadets who successfully represented the college and the Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate at two prestigious national-level NCC camps held in different parts of the country. Eleven NCC cadets of the college participated in the Him Trek Camp held in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, from 5 June to 12 June, while four cadets represented the college at the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Camp held in Maharashtra from 17 June to 28 June. The camps provided the cadets with valuable opportunities for adventure, leadership development, cultural exchange, and national integration. During the Him Trek Camp, Senior Under Officer Sobia Bashir represented the Directorate as a DTE Senior. Cadet Vanshika Verma participated in the Group Song competition. Cadet Premlata brought laurels to the college by participating in the Group Song event and winning Gold Medals in the 3D Art Competition and the Best from Waste Competition. At the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp in Maharashtra, Sergeant Bhavya Rajput participated in the Group Folk Dance competition and was selected for the Integrated Group Dance Event. Cadet Konika Chib participated in the Group Folk Dance and also served as a Media Member of the camp. Cadet Drishity Jain showcased her talent in the Solo Dance (Open House) event, while Cadet Vanshika Devi participated in the Group Folk Dance competition. On their return, the cadets were felicitated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Naveen Anand, who congratulated them for their commendable performances and appreciated their dedication, discipline and commitment in representing the institution at the national level. He emphasized that such achievements inspire other students to actively participate in NCC activities and contribute towards nation-building. The Associate NCC Officer of the college, Dr. Nitu Sharma also congratulated the cadets for their outstanding performances and appreciated their sincere efforts, enthusiasm and team spirit. She encouraged them to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the values of discipline, leadership and national service that form the cornerstone of the NCC. The college fraternity extended its best wishes to all the participating cadets and expressed confidence that they would continue to bring further laurels to the institution in the future. |
