Early Times Report DODA, July 4: As part of ongoing efforts to promote road safety and ensure the well-being of transport workers, a Medical Health Check-up Camp for drivers and cleaners was organized today near Police Lines Doda. The camp was organized by the Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO), Doda in collaboration with the Health Department under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Doda and the Transport Commissioner Jammu. The programme was conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Doda. A team of doctors and paramedical staff conducted general health examinations, including blood pressure, blood sugar, vision screening and other basic medical fitness assessments of drivers and cleaners. Participants were also sensitized about maintaining good health, avoiding fatigue while driving and following safe road practices. The initiative aimed to ensure the medical fitness of commercial vehicle drivers and cleaners, thereby contributing to safer roads and reducing the risk of accidents caused by health-related issues. The District Administration emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups for transport workers and stated that such initiatives would continue to promote road safety, enhance driver well-being and encourage responsible driving practices across the district. |
