Jammu, July 7: Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat today visited Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp , Jammu, and reviewed the security and logistical arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. During the visit, the DGP assessed the overall security deployment, access control, surveillance measures, pilgrim facilitation, and emergency response mechanisms. He interacted with officers on duty and directed them to maintain the highest standards of vigilance, coordination, and public-friendly policing to ensure a safe, secure, and smooth pilgrimage for all devotees.
The DGP was accompanied by DIG CRPF, DIG-P Jammu Samba Kathua Range, SSP Jammu, and other senior officers of CAPF.
REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS IN UDHAMPUR
Meanwhile, DGP Prabhat also visited Udhampur and reviewed the security, traffic management and pilgrim facilitation arrangements along NH-44 for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
During the visit, DGP interacted with officers and personnel of Udhampur Police and other security agencies deployed along the Yatra route. He reviewed the security preparedness and appreciated the seamless inter-agency coordination, professionalism and unwavering commitment of all personnel towards ensuring a safe, secure and incident-free Yatra.
He was accompanied by Team Udhampur on NH-44, highlighted the spirit of "One Team. One Mission.", underscoring the collective resolve of all agencies working shoulder to shoulder for the successful conduct of the Yatra.
He emphasised the importance of sustained vigilance, effective coordination and public-centric policing to ensure the safe, secure and incident-free conduct of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
