Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, chaired a meeting through video conferencing to review the operational preparedness and security arrangements in Udhampur and Reasi districts. The meeting was attended by senior officers of J&K Police, Army, CRPF, Intelligence Bureau, CID, Traffic Police and officers deployed for SANJY, including Sector Commander, 14 Sector RR; Commander, 87 Brigade, SSsP Udhampur and Reasi, Commanding Officers of CRPF 137, 187, 126 and 6 Battalions, Addl. SsP Udhampur, Katra and Reasi; DCIO, IB Udhampur; all SDPOs, all Dy.SPs Ops, CID and Traffic, besides Adhoc Commandants and Zonal Officers deployed for SANJY.-2026 During the meeting, the DIG undertook a comprehensive review of the prevailing security scenario and assessed the preparedness of all security agencies. Discussions focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, intelligence sharing, area domination, route security, traffic regulation, communication systems, contingency planning and emergency response mechanisms to ensure effective security management. The DIG stressed the importance of seamless coordination among all stakeholders and directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance, ensure strict implementation of security protocols and respond promptly to any emerging situation. He also emphasized the need for regular field supervision, robust intelligence gathering and continuous review of operational plans to ensure foolproof security arrangements. The meeting concluded with all participating agencies reaffirming their commitment to coordinated efforts for maintaining peace, public safety and effective operational readiness across Udhampur-Reasi Range. |
