Amar Singh Club Executive Committee holds third meeting; renovated guest rooms and heritage billiards hall inaugurated

JAMMU, Aug 1: The Third Meeting of the Executive Committee of Amar Singh Club, Jammu, was held today under the guidance of the Hon'ble Vice President of the Club, Shri Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. The meeting witnessed detailed deliberations on several important issues concerning the overall development, modernization, financial sustainability, and welfare of the Club and its esteemed members.
A major highlight of the meeting was the inauguration of the newly renovated Guest Rooms. The Executive Committee members visited the rooms and highly appreciated the outstanding quality of the renovation work. They observed that the interiors beautifully reflect the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and artistic identity of Jammu & Kashmir, providing members and guests with a unique blend of comfort, elegance, and local aesthetics.
Another significant milestone was the inauguration of the renovated Heritage Billiards Hall. The historic billiards tables, which had served the Club for decades, have been meticulously restored after nearly twelve years. The tables were professionally polished, fitted with new high-quality cloth, and brought back to excellent playing condition while preserving their heritage value. Members expressed great satisfaction at the revival of one of the Club's most cherished recreational facilities.
The Executive Committee also discussed several other developmental initiatives aimed at improving member services, strengthening Club administration, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the long-term growth of Amar Singh Club.
The meeting noted that these development works have been successfully executed under the leadership of Shri Vijay Saraf, Honorary Secretary, Amar Singh Club, with the wholehearted support, dedication, and collective efforts of all the Executive Committee Members, who have been actively contributing towards the Club's transformation and progress.
During the meeting, Hon'ble Vice President Shri Ramesh Kumar, IAS, highly appreciated the leadership efforts of the entire Executive Committee. He observed that the new Committee is functioning efficiently, smoothly, and with a clear vision for the future of the Club. He emphasized the need to promote cashless transactions across all Club facilities to enhance transparency, minimize pilferage, and improve financial discipline.
Ramesh Kumar IAS VICE PRESIDENT OF CLUB further advised that every possible avenue for increasing the Club's revenue should be explored while maintaining prudent control over expenditure. He emphasized that only through sound financial management, increased profitability, and continuous improvement in member services can the Club achieve sustainable growth. He also stressed the importance of regular monitoring of all operations to ensure that members continue to receive the highest standards of facilities and services.
The Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking progressive reforms and development initiatives for the benefit of all members and expressed confidence that Amar Singh Club will continue to strengthen its position as one of the premier social and recreational institutions of the region.
