Jammu, Aug 8: Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta inaugurated the construction work of a drain in Ward No. 39, marking another step towards improving civic infrastructure and addressing the longstanding concerns of local residents. Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta said the project would strengthen the drainage system, improve sanitation and provide much-needed relief from waterlogging and improper wastewater disposal. “Modern and reliable civic infrastructure is essential for building a cleaner, healthier and better Jammu West. Our focus is on resolving longstanding public issues through planned and sustainable development,” Gupta said. The MLA stated that development works were being executed across Jammu West according to the needs and priorities of residents. He reiterated that improving drainage, roads, sanitation and other essential public amenities remained central to his development agenda. “Every ward deserves equal attention and quality infrastructure. No genuine public concern will be overlooked, and all necessary works will be taken up in a systematic and time-bound manner,” he added. Gupta directed the executing agency to maintain the highest standards of quality and complete the work within the stipulated time-frame. He also urged residents to extend their cooperation during the construction process. BJP State Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, Vijay Nehru, party workers, prominent citizens and local residents were present on the occasion. |
