Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: The Special Crime Wing has produced Charge Sheet in FIR No. 18/2017, Police Station Crime Branch Jammu, before the Hon'ble Forest Court, Jammu, after completion of further investigation. The case relates to the alleged fraudulent preparation, procurement and use of official documents, including ration cards and a purported Permanent Resident Certificate, by accused Sayed Hussain, who was found during investigation to be a Myanmar national. The investigation involved detailed scrutiny of departmental records, examination of witnesses, seizure of relevant documents and forensic examination. The case was earlier presented before the Hon'ble Court on 28.12.2022 against Sayed Hussain. Subsequently, in the year 2024, the Hon'ble Court directed further investigation and remanded back the charge-sheet. Further investigation was thereafter conducted by the Special Crime Wing. During further investigation, records were obtained from the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department. A ration dealer was examined and statements of the family members of the principal accused were also recorded. On the basis of the evidence collected during investigation, offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC were found established against the seven accused persons including the main accused Sayed Hussain S/o Mohammad Sadiq, his wife Noora Begum and 05 others. Accordingly, the investigation got concluded as challan, and the charge-sheet along with connected documents has been produced before the Hon'ble Forest Court, Jammu, for judicial determination.
