DODA, Aug 18: Continuing its drive against absconders and wanted persons, District Police Doda has arrested an accused who had been evading arrest for nearly two years in a case registered at Police Station Bhaderwah. On 01.06.2024, FIR No. 96/2024 under Sections 382/341/354/323/504/506 IPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah against accused Vicky Kumar, S/o Prem Singh, R/o Taisna, Tehsil Bhalla, District Doda. Following registration of the case, the accused had been absconding and evading his arrest. Despite his continued attempts to evade the process of law, the police team of Police Post Bhalla, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bhaderwah, maintained sustained efforts to trace his whereabouts. Acting on specific human intelligence and locally developed inputs, the police team succeeded in locating and arresting the accused today. The arrest was effected by the team of Police Post Bhalla under the supervision of IC PP Bhalla after sustained efforts and continuous pursuit. The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation and necessary legal proceedings in the case are underway in accordance with law. Doda Police reiterates its commitment to bringing absconders and wanted persons to justice and ensuring that persons attempting to evade the process of law are traced and proceeded against as per law. |
