DODA, Aug 18: In a significant success, District Police Doda has traced a woman who had been missing for about 30 months from the Bhalla area and safely reunited her with her family.
The woman, namely Suraksha Devi, W/o Sanjay Kumar, R/o Tatora Gajoth, Tehsil Bhalla, District Doda, was reported missing at Police Post Bhalla, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bhaderwah, vide DDR No. 09 dated 10.02.2024.
Since the matter was reported, the police team of Police Post Bhalla had been making sustained efforts to trace her by developing leads and gathering information regarding her whereabouts.
As a result of these sustained efforts, Police Post Bhalla successfully traced the woman on 17.08.2026, after about 30 months.
After completing all requisite legal and procedural formalities, the woman was safely handed over to her family. Accordingly, the missing report was closed vide DDR No. 19 dated 17.08.2026.
