Early Times Report DODA, Sept 10: A District-Level Mushaira was organised today at Town Hall Doda, under the aegis of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, bringing together eminent poets, writers, thinkers, dignitaries, youth and literature enthusiasts to celebrate the rich literary and cultural heritage of the region. Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Mushaira featured soulful and thought-provoking recitations by renowned poets, who captivated the audience with their powerful poetic expressions. The compositions covered a wide range of themes including human values, social concerns, contemporary issues and different dimensions of life, creating an enriching atmosphere of literary dialogue and cultural expression. A large number of youth, literature enthusiasts and members of civil society participated in the event and appreciated the poetic presentations. The programme also provided an encouraging platform to emerging poets to showcase their talent and interact with established literary personalities. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest emphasised the need to preserve the region's rich literary traditions. He encouraged the younger generation to remain connected with its cultural and linguistic heritage. |
