Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 10: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar-IPS, today conducted a PCPG meeting at Police Post Goran under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, with an aim to further strengthen police-public relations and enhance community participation in maintaining peace and security. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of area, including prominent citizens, youth and local residents. Addressing the gathering, the SSP Samba reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Samba Police to maintaining peace, combating crime and ensuring a safe, secure and fear-free environment for all law-abiding citizens. He urged the public to remain vigilant and extend full cooperation to the Police by promptly sharing information regarding drug peddling, bovine smuggling and other unlawful activities. SSP Samba advised residents to install CCTV cameras at their residential and commercial premises as an important measure to strengthen security, prevent crime and assist law-enforcement agencies in maintaining public safety. He warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities. During the interaction, SSP Samba also met with VDGs members and asked them to remain alert and maintain close coordination with the Police. On the occasion, SSP Samba also paid obeisance at Baba Goran Temple and reviewed the security arrangements put in place for the safety and convenience of devotees. During the programme, the chairing officer patiently listened to the issues and concerns raised by the participants and assured them that their genuine grievances would be addressed. On the occasion, Addl. SP Samba, DySP Hqrs Samba, DySP SOG Samba, SHO Police Station Samba, Incharge Police Post Goran and other Police Officers/officials were also present. |
