Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 10: Under Project AAROHI, a Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Initiative exclusively for women was successfully organized at AAM Phinder, Block Bishnah, Jammu. The initiative was supported by General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) and implemented by Human Organisation For Patronisation of Environment (HOPE). Medical & Health Staff Present Anil Sharma - MPHW Babli Devi - ASHA Worker Darshna Devi - ASHA Worker Gharo Devi - ASHA Worker Awareness & Community Mobilization The health staff and ASHA workers actively supported the awareness and mobilization activities during the camp. Women were sensitized about breast and cervical cancer, early warning signs, risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of regular screening. The importance of early detection and timely medical consultation was emphasized. The ASHA workers encouraged women from the local community to participate in screening and to seek medical advice promptly if they noticed any unusual changes or symptoms. Camp Outcome The camp helped increase awareness among women regarding cancer prevention, early detection, and regular screening. Free screening services and health guidance were provided to the beneficiaries under Project AAROHI. The HOPE team actively supported the successful conduct of the camp and community outreach activities. |
