JAMMU, Sept 19: One Day Civil Defence awareness camp was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota, Jammu under the supervision of Zia-Ul-Haq-Dy.SP Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu.
Around 300 NCC Cadets of various districts of Jammu & Kashmir was participated enthusiastically in the programme. The camp was aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and equipping the cadets with essential life-saving skills required during emergencies and disaster situations.
During the programme, Civil Defence official imparted practical training and awareness regarding First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Fire Fighting, search and rescue technique, and disaster management. Live demonstration were conducted to familiarize the cadets with the correct method of responding to various emergencies and disaster situations.
Colonel Dhiraj Chaturvedi appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence Jammu for organizing the awareness programme and providing valuable training to the NCC cadets.
R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Jammu delivered lectures regarding the role of Civil Defence wardens during emergencies and disaster situations such as natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, and other crisis situations as first responders. |
