AKHNOOR, Sept 28: The Indian Army conducted an Army Attachment Camp for 45 Senior Wing Girl Cadets from various J&K Girls NCC Battalions from 15 to 26 September 2026.
The camp provided the cadets first-hand exposure to the functioning, ethos and operational environment of the Indian Army. During the attachment, the cadets visited the Army Martial Arts Regime (AMAR) training node, heritage museum, drone laboratory, armoured, artillery and infantry units, besides other military facilities.
The cadets were familiarised with Area Domination Patrols, Mobile Vehicle Check Posts, field craft, battle craft, map reading, weapon handling, combat first aid, hygiene and sanitation, firing range procedures and new-generation weapons and equipment. They also gained valuable exposure to tanks, artillery guns and the functioning of various Arms and Services.
The attachment camp provided a unique opportunity to understand military life while fostering discipline, leadership, teamwork, confidence and a sense of responsibility. |
