| DC Ramban inspects progress of major development projects | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Oct 2: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan today inspected the progress of work on major development projects coming up in Ramban town and adjoining areas. The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Ranjeet Singh and other concerned officers. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the progress of work on the office building of the Law Department. He directed the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) to ensure timely completion of the project within the prescribed timeline, enabling the department to shift and commence functioning from the newly constructed premises. The building is being constructed by the PWD at allotted cost of over ?72 lakh. The DC also inspected the construction work of the 300-metre span pre-stressed concrete (PSC) cantilever motorable bridge over River Chenab, connecting Ramban town with Maitra. The bridge is of vital importance for strengthening road connectivity towards Gool Sub-Division and adjoining areas and will also facilitate connectivity to various major developmental projects in the region. The project is being executed by PWD (R&B) at allotted cost of Rs 39.9 crore. |
