MANDI GOBINDGARH, Oct 5: Desh Bhagat University, School of Hotel Management & Tourism (SOHMT) celebrated Housekeeping Week with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The week-long event focused on developing practical skills, creativity, teamwork and professional competence among aspiring hospitality professionals.
A series of engaging competitions, including Bed Making, Best Out of Waste and Rapid Fire Quiz, provided students with opportunities to demonstrate their technical knowledge and creative abilities.
The celebrations were organized under the leadership of Avtar Singh and Srishti, Assistant Professor, with the coordination and support of Nivedita and Charanpreet Kaur.
Dr. Aman Sharma, Director, SOHMT, congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of experiential learning in preparing students for successful careers in the hospitality industry.
The department expressed gratitude to Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur and Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti for their continued support and encouragement of student-focused initiatives. |
